Hunting Dates Set
Hunt will consist of 1 management buck, 2 does, and as many hogs as you can bag. All lodging and meals will be provided as well as basic meat processing. Taxidermy will be provided for those qualifying, which will be conveyed before the hunt. Qualifying will be based on scoring.
The Santa Cruz Ranch is located near Yancey, Texas a one hour drive from San Antonio.
Each weekend will be limited to 4 hunters, and you will have a guide to hunt with.
You must have a valid hunting license, no exceptions.
These hunts are open to the Combat Wounded and Gold Star Families first and then the Injured in the Line of Duty.
All participants will have to qualify on the range at the ranch prior to hunting.

Participants will fish with experienced fishing guides, so no need to be a “Master Angler”. Bow fishing nightly, entertainment for the whole family daily.
So come enjoy good fishing, good fellowship, good food, good music, and more.
This event is open to the Combat Wounded (both veteran and active), Gold Star families, and multiple deployment soldiers.

Entry Fees: $50 per meat or $125 for all three meats with 60% of entry fees pay
back along with added money for each category.
Additional Categories: Beans $25, Chili $25, Bloody Mary $25, Margarita $25
Jackpot 50/50 split winner take all.
Special Category: Youth (18 and under) Ribs $20 100% to pay back first three
placing.
Other events include 50/50 Raffle and Rifle Raffle.
Check in starts Friday Oct 21 st at noon with cooks meeting at 7:00 pm. With
Turn in Saturday Oct 22 nd starting with Chili at 11:00, Beans at 12:00, followed by
chicken at 1:00, Adult ribs at 2:00, Youth ribs at 3:00, brisket at 4:00,
Bloody Mary and Margarita turn in at 8:00 pm.
Awards after judging.

Honor Flight Fund Raiser
Please see the attached information about a fund raiser coming up for Honor Flight, being held Thursday June 16th at Hondo’s on Main in Fredericksburg.
The goal is to take 30 WWII and Korean War Vets from Gillespie County to Washington DC to tour the war memorials.
For those whom have been involved in an honor flight you will know how moving it is. Myself and my family were able to participate when my Dad fly with the Honor Flight recently to see the Korean War Memorial. Many of you know my Dad and will know that he asks for nothing in return for his service to our great nation. However, when participated in a recent honor flight seeing the joy and emotion on his return has beyond description.
I encourage all of you to make plans to attend this great event and help send our veterans on this Honor Flight.
